What is the difference between a project and a unit?
A unit is the property, a project is the group.
A unit is a single property you manage or rent out, such as a house, store, office or parking space. A project is a group of units.

The difference
| Unit | Project | |
|---|---|---|
| What is it? | One property | A group of units, for example a shopping center |
| Characteristics, values, energy label | Yes, per unit | No |
| Rental contract | Yes | No, the rental contract belongs to the unit |
Example: Shopping Center A is the project, the individual stores are the units.
Why use a project?
By linking units to a project, you can retrieve them all at once in many places in OWNER, for example in lists and insights. You do enter an appraisal per unit, not per project.
Tip: Renting out one building to multiple tenants? Create a unit for each separately rentable space and group them in a project.
