# How do I set a reminder for a work order?

## Have OWNER automatically remind the service provider if they don't respond in time.

Does a service provider (contractor) not respond to a work order in time? Then OWNER can send automatic reminders. You turn them on once in the settings.

## How to turn on reminders

1. Go to **Settings \> Modules \> Maintenance \> Orders**.
2. Turn on the automatic reminders there.

**Note:** the setting applies to work orders you create after that.

## What does the reminder do?

The work order has a response date and an execution date. If the service provider doesn't respond in time, OWNER automatically sends a reminder by email. The service provider accepts or rejects the order and signs it off when the work is done.
