# What is OWNER Wallet?
## A real bank account per owner, in OWNER
With OWNER Wallet, you receive and manage rent and other payments in OWNER itself, in a real bank account per owner. OWNER Wallet is expected in late 2026. In this article, you can already read what it is and how it works.

## What is OWNER Wallet?
OWNER Wallet is a real bank account in OWNER, per owner. Tenants and other debtors pay their sales invoices into this account. OWNER recognizes each incoming payment and automatically matches it to the right open sales invoice. The account runs on Stripe Treasury.
**Expected late 2026.** OWNER Wallet isn't available yet; in this article, you can already read how it will work.
**OWNER Wallet replaces OWNER Pay.** If you use OWNER Pay, you keep the same account; your account just needs to be verified again. With OWNER Pay, the money went into a third-party escrow account and was then transferred to you. With OWNER Wallet, you have your own account and decide yourself when to transfer money.
## How it works
1. **You send a sales invoice** from OWNER, with the Wallet's account number on it.
2. **The tenant pays** into the Wallet.
3. **OWNER matches the payment** automatically to the open sales invoice and marks it as paid.
4. **The money stays in the Wallet** until you transfer it yourself.
5. **You update your accounting** with the journal entry under **Insights** → **Journal entries**.
## Which payment methods can tenants use?
OWNER Wallet supports the same payment methods as OWNER Pay. As the sender, you decide which payment methods a debtor can use.

### Frequently asked questions about OWNER Wallet
#### Is OWNER Wallet a real bank account?
Yes. Each owner gets their own bank account in OWNER, via Stripe Treasury. The money is in the owner's name and stays there until you transfer it yourself.
#### How does OWNER Wallet get into my accounting?
Via the journal entry under **Insights** → **Journal entries**. You post it in your accounting package yourself, or your accountant does. An automatic exchange with accounting packages is coming later.
#### I use OWNER Pay. Do I need to create a new account?
No. You keep the same account. Your account just needs to be verified again.
#### When will OWNER Wallet be available?
OWNER Wallet is expected in late 2026.
#### Can I combine OWNER Wallet with an accounting integration?
With OWNER Wallet, OWNER processes the payments. You then update your accounting package with the journal entry, no longer with the sales invoice exchange of an accounting integration. #### Can I pay purchase invoices from my Wallet?
Not at launch; that's coming later. You'll then be able to pay purchase invoices from the Wallet, and they'll automatically appear on the journal entry.
