# What do you see on the Today screen?
## Your starting point in OWNER: tasks, points of attention, warnings and recommendations in one place.
The Today screen is your starting point in OWNER. At a glance, you see your tasks and everything in your property management that needs attention.

## What’s on the Today screen?
You open the screen with the OWNER logo at the top left. At the top, you switch between **Onboarding** (tips for setting up OWNER) and **Today**. At the top right, you choose whether you see everything (**All team members**) or only what belongs to one team member.
| Section | What you see |
| --- | --- |
| **OWNER community** | Product updates about new features and posts from your boards in the OWNER community. |
| **Tasks** | Your open and closed tasks, with priority and due date. |
| **Points of attention** | Items that need your attention, such as overdue sales invoices or expired orders. |
| **Warnings** | Items that may need quick action, such as a planned sales invoice that can’t be sent. |
| **Recommendations** | Suggestions to improve your property management. |

## Points of attention
Each block shows a count. Click a block and OWNER opens the list with exactly those items, already filtered. Among other things, you see:
| Section | Point of attention |
| --- | --- |
| Orders | Response expired, Rejected, Carryout expired (execution date has passed), Done with problems |
| Inspections | Expired |
| Keys | Not returned (the return date has passed) |
| Indexations | Planned |
| Tickets | New |
| Sales invoices | Planned, Overdue |
| Tasks | Overdue |
| Rental contract | Paused (invoicing and indexing are on hold) |

## Warnings
A warning means OWNER can’t complete something automatically. Click the **Indexations** or **Sales invoices** block to open the list. Hover over the orange warning icon in a row to see what’s going on. The most common warnings:
| Warning | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| Rental contract can’t generate sales invoices: no choice has been made for the owner between OWNER Pay and an accounting package | Go to **Settings \> Owners** and choose for the owner how you process payments. |
| The owner has no bank account | Go to **Settings \> Owners**, open the owner and enter the account number. |
| No bank account is selected on the rental contract | Edit the rental contract (pencil icon) and choose the bank account. |
| The rental contract has no sales items | Edit the rental contract and add a new item under sales items. |
| Planned sales invoice has a different price or different sales items compared to the previous period | Check whether this is correct. If needed, adjust the sales item on the rental contract. |
| First or last planned sales invoice for this rental contract | For you to check. If it isn’t right, look at the settings of the rental contract. |
| Sales invoice can’t be sent without an active subscription | Activate your environment via **Settings \> Subscription**. See [How do the subscription and credits work?](https://knowledge.owner.app/en/subscription-and-credits?hsLang=en) |
| Sales invoice can’t be sent via Peppol, or the recipient wasn’t found | Check the KvK number (Dutch Chamber of Commerce number) or VAT number of the receiving company. See [Peppol](https://knowledge.owner.app/en/peppol?hsLang=en). |
| Sales invoice couldn’t be exchanged with the accounting package | Open the accounting integration and check the failed sales invoices to see what went wrong. |
| Planned indexation: index figure not yet known | Wait until the figure is published. With a custom indexation method, you add this year’s percentage yourself. See [Why isn't my indexation ready?](https://knowledge.owner.app/en/indexation-not-ready?hsLang=en) |
| Planned indexation has no sales items that may be indexed | Edit the rental contract and indicate under sales items which items may be indexed. |
**Note:** if you approve a planned sales invoice or indexation without any lines, OWNER skips that period and deletes the draft.
## Recommendations
Recommendations are suggestions, not errors. For example, you see:
- **Share rental contract**: link a person to the rental contract and share it, so your tenant can see their sales invoices and documents online. See [How do I share a rental contract with a tenant?](https://knowledge.owner.app/en/share-rental-contract-with-tenant?hsLang=en)
- **Create public placement**: make a unit publicly visible on the OWNER platform. See [How to place a unit on OWNER](https://knowledge.owner.app/en/place-a-unit?hsLang=en).
Don’t want to see a warning or recommendation anymore? Choose **Reject**.
## Frequently asked questions
#### Can I choose a different start page?
Yes. Go to **Settings \> Your preferences \> General** and under **Start page**, choose the screen you want to see after logging in. That’s also where you turn onboarding on or off.
#### I don’t see any points of attention. Is that right?
Then everything is up to date. As soon as something needs your attention, it appears here automatically.
#### Can I also see my colleagues’ tasks?
At the top right, choose **All team members** or the team member whose overview you want to see.
