# How do you organize rentals with OWNER?
## From placement to rental contract: how to manage rentals and bookings in one platform.
With OWNER, you manage rentals from start to finish: from a public placement to a rental contract with automatic sales invoices. Your data is already in OWNER, so you don't have to enter anything twice.

## How does renting out via OWNER work?
OWNER has two sides:
- **The front end (owner.app):** this is where placements are listed, just like on Airbnb. Searchers view your listings, respond or book directly.
- **The back end (my.owner.app):** this is where you do your day-to-day property management: units, rental contracts, sales invoices, indexations and more.
You create a placement from a unit that's already in the back end. You manage your placements via the house icon at the top of my.owner.app.
## Long or short term?
- **Long term:** interested parties respond via a contact form. Once you reach an agreement, you create a rental contract; OWNER then invoices per month, quarter, half-year or year.
- **Short term (bookings):** guests directly book a period with a fixed end date. Invoicing happens once. See [Bookings](https://knowledge.owner.app/en/bookings?hsLang=en).
Each unit can only have one placement at a time.

## How tenants find your listings
- They search on owner.app or in the OWNER app.
- They get a notification via a saved search, or because they follow your rental profile.
- They request a notification for a property that isn't available yet.
- They find your placements on your own website via the website widget.
- They scan the QR code on a poster or sign at your property.
