# How to organize keys

## With a numbered key board and OWNER, your keys are always organized.

Are your keys a mess? You're not the only one. With a numbered key board and OWNER, you'll have them organized in no time.

## Buy a key board

First, make sure your physical keys have a fixed place. Numbered hooks on the wall will do, but a key board with numbered key clips works better: the keys hang neatly and are easy to find. A board like this is easy to mount and expand.

**Tip:** Do you have keys at multiple locations? Create a separate key board for each location in OWNER.

## Number the keys

Give each key clip the number of its spot on the board: clip 1 hangs on spot 1, clip 2 on spot 2, and so on. Don't put an address on the key. If it gets lost, the finder won't know what it belongs to.

## Register the keys in OWNER

1. Attach a key or bunch of keys to an empty clip.
2. Go to **Properties \> Keys** and click **New**.
3. For the number, enter the clip's number and link the key to the unit or installation.
4. Hang the key on the board. Done!

## Keep track of who borrows a key
