If your keys are a mess, you're not alone. Organizing keys may not be the most enjoyable task, but it's great to have them in order. Below you can read about how we think you can organize them best in OWNER.
Buy one or more key boards
First, we need to make sure there is a place to hang the physical keys. These can be hooks on a wall with numbers above them, but a key board is better. An example of a good key board is the one from the brand Durable. This is a key board for so-called Key Clips, so your keys always hang neatly straight and are easy to find.
The board is easy to mount and expand. One disadvantage is that it cannot be locked, but the advantage is that you cannot lose the key either 😀.

Label the Key Clips.
Make sure the Key Clips are numbered according to the number of positions on your key board. Key Clip 1 will hang in position 1, Key Clip 2 in position 2, and so on.
By working with key numbers, the key cannot be misused in case of loss and used to break into your unit.
In OWNER
Now we are going to actually assign the keys to a Key Clip, and we will do this in OWNER. Take a key or keyring that you want to store and attach it to an empty Key Clip. Then, go to your OWNER environment and create a new key. When creating the key, you will be asked for the key number. Enter the number of the corresponding Key Clip.
Hang the key on your new key board and you're done!
Lending keys
Is someone coming by to borrow one of your keys? Look up the key in OWNER, click on actions "Lend" and register who borrowed it and when it must be returned. When the key is returned, click on actions "Return Key" again. If the key is returned late, the person responsible for that key will receive a notification.
